A&A

Analytics & Assessment. Designated under the Admin department, A&A partners with library leaders and campus stakeholders to synthesize the results of data collection and assessment efforts by the Libraries. A&A collects evidence to help library leadership make sound decisions related to the allocation of library resources and meet the needs of students and scholars.

A-Z List

A-Z List of databases. A list of all vendor databases used by UAL. This list also includes citation management tools and other resources.

ABOR

Arizona Board of Regents. This body governs the state’s public university system, providing policy guidance to Arizona State University (ASU), Northern Arizona University (NAU), the University of Arizona (U of A, UA), and their respective branch campuses.

ACRL

Association of College & Research Libraries. A division of ALA, ACRL is the higher education association for librarians. ACRL holds a national conference biennially (on odd years).

Admin

The Administration department of UAL encompasses the deans, support staff, and functional areas that serve the entire Libraries: development, facilities, finance, human resources, marketing, user experience, and analytics & assessment. Admin uses a shared governance model for planning and decision-making.

Agile

An umbrella term for a set of methods and practices based on the values and principles expressed in the Agile Manifesto. Typically used in context of software or website development. Kanban boards and standups are both agile. More about agile.
